PhD Scholarship and Bursaries 2010-11


The Research Institute for Arts and Humanities at Swansea University – home of the Richard Burton Centre for the Study of Wales and the Centre for Research into the Literature and Language of Wales (CREW) – is to reinforce its reputation as an international centre for ground-breaking research in Welsh cultural, political and historical studies with a number of postgraduate awards beginning in 2010-11.

The Institute is seeking applications from local students (UK/EU) for one full scholarship and five fees-only bursaries to pursue a PhD in the following areas of study. The full scholarship is worth approximately £16,900 per year for three years, and includes fees and a stipend. The fees-only bursaries are worth approximately £3440 per year for three years (or £1720 for half-fees bursary).
