Dave Shannon, a student on the MA in Creative Writing course at Swansea University  has won a place on the Gwanwyn Festival Scriptwriting Project "From Page to Stage" at the Wales National Writers' Centre, Ty Newydd,  in May and November. He'll be working with former Made in Wales and BBC director Gilly Adams to develop a stage idea. He hopes to be selected as as one of  two winners whose work will then be performed  in the Gwanwyn Festival 2013.  The programme is specifically aimed at writers aged 50 and over living in Wales.
