Graduate Centre blocks thin From war correspondents in Gaza to petty criminals in Swansea. From comic capers in an old people’s home to the tears an tantrums of  hen night. From a murder mystery to a courtroom drama which sees the UK itself on trial and a Papal crisis of confidence which brings heaven and earth together in the showdown to beat all showdown.  These are just some of  this year’s exciting collection of new plays from MA students on Swansea University’s Creative Writing programme.

These  two nights of  ambitious new work  encompass comedy, crime and the second coming with characters and locations drawn from every facet of the world – and beyond.

Come and see the work of  the writers of the future given their first professional presentation.

Writers include: Jack Branford, Michael Carey, Kath Chamberlain, Ding Shun, Keri-Ann Edwards, Pippa Hawkins, Dai Howe,

Megan Jones, Sarah Jones, Kelsey Richards, David Shannon, Michele Smith, Geraldine Smits, Kerry Bond, Laura Stowe and Emma Whitney.

The evenings, made up from specially selected extracts from the plays written as part of their postgraduate portfolios, will be introduced and directed  by playwright D.J.Britton, Senior Lecturer in Dramatic Writing at Swansea University. The works will be performed by Swansea’s  outstanding Fluellen Theatre Company.
