Swansea University - Europe Day

Europe Day

This month saw Europe Day on Sunday 9th May, and as the University's European Office, based here at the Department of Research and Innovation, we thought it only fitting to raise the European flag on campus in recognition of the event.

All European funded projects led by public body project sponsors are obliged to fly the European flag at their site during the week of 9 May (Europe Day), and the European Office at the Department of Research and Innovation has arranged for this to take place - and the flag will be raised above the Institute of Life Science building on campus.

Six major Swansea University led projects have been made possible by the EU's Convergence Fund through the Welsh Assembly Government. The projects underpin Swansea University's Knowledge Economy Strategy - that is to become an exemplar of good practice for Higher Education (HE), driving the development of the knowledge economy.

The following Swansea University led projects have been part-funded by the EU’s Convergence European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Welsh Assembly Government:

The following projects have been made possible by the EU’s Convergence European Social Fund (ESF) through the Welsh Assembly Government.
