How to Book

To book a course please click on the course you wish to attend from the list of Domains below.  You will be redirected to a booking site and will be required to enter your full name and student email address to reserve your place.  If a course is full please email skillstraining@swansea.ac.uk to be placed on the waiting list.  Please allow plenty of time to arrive at your selected course to enable the session to start on time.  

Vitae Researcher Development Framework

Courses at Swansea are mapped to the Vitae Researcher Development Framework and are organised into four key domains as indicated below.  The RDF describes the knowledge, skills, behaviours and personal qualities of researchers and encourages them to aspire to excellence through achieving higher levels of development.  

Skills Development Award

A Skills Development Award is available for research students who attend 20 courses (5 from each of the 4 Domains listed below).  You must keep a record of your training and ensure you sign a register at each course so that your attendance can be verified.  Please contact skillstraining@swansea.ac.uk to request your Skills Development Award when you have completed the necessary courses.
