Swansea University Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 10th May 2016

You are warmly invited to come along to the annual 3MT competition on:

Date: 10th May

Venue: The Taliesin Theatre

Time: 10am until approximately 12 noon followed by the Poster Competition in Fulton House Lecture Room B.

What is the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition?

This is a unique opportunity to experience  the creative and dynamic interpretations from our postgraduate researchers as they share their research with the university community. Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) developed by The University of Queensland, has rapidly developed and spread throughout the UK, with 42 UK Institutions holding a 3MT competition last year.  The exercise challenges research students to captivate the audience with their research and its significance in just three minutes. The winner of the Swansea University Competition will go through to UK 3MT Semi Finals and could be in with the chance of winning the Vitae UK competition and receiving £3,000 towards their research. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

We have students presenting from every College/School – please see attached for details about the presentations.  Both the 3MT and Poster Competition will be judged by the Directors of Postgraduate Research. This is an exciting and compelling event that you won’t want to miss, entry is free and it’s an opportunity to discover the research undertaken by postgraduate researchers at Swansea.

The 3MT and Poster Competition is hosted by the Postgraduate Research Office, Academic Services and the IAA (Impact Acceleration Account – EPSRC), REIS.

We look forward to seeing you there!
