Research and Innovation Awards 2016
Through the SURGE fund, we are delighted to be able to offer a £2,000 prize for the winner of each category to be spent on developing your research projects and expanding your outcomes.
Although the SURGE fund supports projects intend to work towards and result in a competitive proposal to a major funder, if you need more flexibility with how to spend your award, please contact Berna Jones or Mark Penny for advice.
Please note that the funds must be claimed by 30th June 2017. All expenditure needs to be in line with the Swansea University rules & regulations.

Swansea University Research And Innovation Awards
It is Swansea University’s aspiration to “use its research strength, collaboration with industry and global reach, to drive economic growth, foster prosperity, enrich the community and cultural life of Wales and, contribute to the health, leisure and wellbeing of its citizens.”
In recognition of the exceptional research that has seen us soar up the league tables over recent years, we are thrilled to announce that we will be building on the successes of the previous SU Impact Awards Ceremonies, with a new Research and Innovation Awards ceremony on the 11th November 2016.
We are exceptionally proud of the huge Impact our colleagues research is having across the world, and look forward to coming together later this year to celebrate a whole host of achievements.

This event will be delivered by REIS through the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account in collaboration with industry partners and sponsors.
The closing date for the call is Friday 23rd September 2016 and the event will take place on Friday 11th November 2016 at the Great Hall, Bay Campus.
Please remember to include an image of your research with your application (such as an image of your lab, samples, analysis, a poster image, a picture taken in a workshop, conference, talk or any other engagement activity, photo of your team or yourself etc). This will help you to promote your case study and your research activities.
