Every picture tells a story...

How do you communicate research to a variety of different audiences? In 2009, Dr Richard Johnston launched an on-campus 'Research as Art' competition. Its aim: to enable researchers to connect and engage with the public and other researchers through an image and a short piece of easily-understood text.

Since then the competition has gone from strength to strength, attracting more than 250 entries from all areas of the University and across the breadth of the University's research portfolio.
