10. Aegrotat Degrees

The Undergraduate Academic Board may,  on the recommendation of the Aegrotat/Posthumous Board,  award an Aegrotat degree  where there is not enough evidence of the candidate’s performance to confer the award for which the student was a candidate, but where the University is satisfied that, but for illness or other valid cause, the candidate would have reached the standard required. The candidate must agree to the conferment of an Aegrotat degree.

Candidates pursuing professional programmes in health care who are subsequently awarded an Aegrotat degree, diploma or certificate will not be eligible for professional health care registration.
