Amy Jenkins, a third year PhD student, has earned herself a place in the regional finals of FameLab!

Amy presented a synopsis of her research on aging and dementia at the Swansea heat of FameLab 2016 at the Dylan Thomas Centre on the 27th of January. FameLab is the UK’s biggest competition to discover new talent in the communication of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). The aim of FameLab is to explain an idea or concept to non-scientists in just three minutes!

The event was hosted by the Swansea University Public Engagement Forum PEP-Talk in partnership with Swansea Science Café.

Now, Amy must prepare for the final, which will take place at Techniquest, Cardiff, on Thursday the 25th February at 7:30pm.

Well done, Amy, and the very best of luck in the final!
