In this talk Councillor Cooper will examine how Penclawdd could be considered as being a microcosm of Welsh history - while its roots are in the Celtic past, it became active in the industrial development of Wales from Tudor times onwards. He will also explore how the rural community absorbed industrialisation and then adapted to a post-industrial era.
