We know that the parents of our students are interested in the choices that they make and are keen to help them make the right decision – whatever the level of study. You can be sure that when your son or daughter chooses Swansea University, they will become an important and valued member of our student community.
All postgraduate students at Swansea have access to our excellent learning facilities as well as dedicated academic services. With their academic studies guided by a tutor or supervisor, your son or daughter will have a regular programme of tutorials, seminars or supervision meetings which will help guide their studies and maximize their potential.
As well as academic support, Swansea offers a range of financial support to postgraduate students. This includes scholarships, advice on other sources of funding for postgraduate studies, and guidance from our Money Advice and Support Office.
If you’re planning to help out with your son or daughter’s tuition fees we offer fee flexibility which allows fees to be paid in instalments.
A range of accommodation is available to our postgraduate students. This includes some University residences, University managed properties and private sector accommodation.
Our House Hunting event for new postgraduate students helps them find shared private sector accommodation and other postgraduates with whom to share. Subsidised by the University, this event helps take away the stress of finding somewhere to live in a new city.
On campus we have a Health Centre and Dental Surgery, and all University-owned residences have on-site welfare wardens. The campus has 24 hour security staff and its own police officer.
Whatever postgraduate programme your son or daughter chooses, they will be enhancing their employability by developing essential skills and qualities. There are numerous benefits associated with both taught and research programmes and many of our graduates have gone on to achieve considerable professional success.
Swansea’s postgraduate programmes are enhanced by our extensive links with industry and there are numerous opportunities for students to pursue industry linked projects and undertake work placements.
