Swansea University usually hosts three opportunities throughout the year to visit the University and find out about postgraduate opportunities.

        

Wednesday 10th November 2010:

What Next? An Introduction to Postgraduate Study

The What Next? event is the first opportunity for those thinking seriously about postgraduate study to find out more about postgraduate programmes at Swansea, funding opportunities, and the application process. Prospective students for popular courses with early deadlines may like to take the opportunity to visit us in November.

Wednesday 10th March 2011:

Postgraduate Open Day  

Each year the University hosts a Postgraduate Open Day in March to which prospective postgraduate students are invited to find out more about postgraduate study at Swansea. A typical programme includes:

 • The opportunity to visit all academic schools and meet representatives from all postgraduate programmes
 • Expert advice on funding postgraduate study, including a presentation by Prospects.ac.uk
 • The chance to speak with University staff about current funding opportunities at Swansea
 • Guided tours of our fantastic seafront campus and University facilities
 • Guidance on how a postgraduate qualification could enhance your employability
 • Talks from current postgraduate students giving their perspective on postgraduate study at Swansea

Information on the Postgraduate Open Day in March 2011 will be posted here towards the end of the year.

  

Tuesday 14th June 2011:

Postgraduate Visit Day

The Postgraduate Visit Day takes place a few months after the main Open Day. It provides the opportunity to find out more about the University and our postgraduate programmes, to speak with representatives from selected departments, and to take a guided tour of the Universty campus. 

Visit Day is especially suitable for:

 • Final year students about to finish their exams who want to find out more about opportunities for further study 
 • Those who have already applied for a postgraduate programme at Swansea and are currently holding offers to study

The most recent Postgraduate Visit Day took place on Tuesday 8th June 2010. Information on the 2011 event will be posted here in April 2011.
