Requirements for English speaking countries

English Information

You will be exempt from taking a secure English language test if you have studied an undergraduate degree taught through the medium of English in one of the following countries: 

Antigua and Barbuda

Australia 

The Bahamas 

Barbados

Belize

Canada*

Dominca

Grenada

Guyana

Ireland

Jamaica

New Zealand

St Kitts and Nevis

St Lucia

St Vincent and the Grenadines

Trinidad and Tobago

United Kingdom

United States of America

*Please note that although Canadian nationals are exempt by the Home Office from English Language requirements, Canada is not considered a majority English speaking country by the Home Office for the purpose of qualifications assessment. This means, non-Canadian nationals with Canadian qualifications are not automatically exempt by the Home Office. However, Swansea University has approved exemption for candidates who have pursued undergraduate study at an English-medium Canadian higher education for a minimum of two years within the last 3 years.
