2024 Changes to Programmes
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
LLM Human Rights - the 3 year part-time version of the programme has been suspended for entry with immediate effect (April 2024). The full time and part-time (2 year) degrees remain available.
LLM Intellectual Property and Innovation - the 3 year part-time version of this programme has been suspended and is no longer available for application with immediate effect (April 2024). The full time and part-time (2 year) degrees remain available.
LLM Professional Legal Practice - the part-time version of this programme was suspended in 2023 and has been suspended for a further year. The full time version of this programme continues to be available (February 2024).
MA Ancient Narrative Literature - has been withdrawn and should no longer be available for application for entry with immediate effect (April 2024).
MA Education - the January entry point for this programme has been withdrawn (April 2024). All other versions of the MA Education continue to be available.
MA Communication, Media Practice and Public Relations - the January entry point has been suspended (April 2024). All other versions of the MA Communication, Media Practice and Public Relations continue to be available.
MA Modern History - the programma has been withdrawn and is no longer available for application with immediate effect (April 2024).
MA Politics - the January entry point for this programme has been withdrawn (April 2024). All other versions of the MA Politics continue to be available.
MA Welsh Writing in English - the programme has been suspended and is no longer available for application with immediate effect (April 2024).
MSc Economics - the January entry point for this programme has been withdrawn (April 2024). All other versions of the MSc Economics continue to be available.
MSc International Accounting and Finance - the January entry point of this programme has been withdawn and is no longer available for entry (April 2024). All other versions of MSc International Accounting and Finance continue to be available.
MSc International Tourism Management - has been suspended for entry in 2024 with immediate effect (February 2024).
PGCert Translation Technology - the programme has been withdrawn and is no longer available for application for entry with immediate effect (April 2024).
PGDip Legal Practice - the part-time version of the programme had been withdrawn and is no longer available for entry with immediate effect (April 2024).

PhD Law (Contract Law) - the programme has been withdrawn and is no longer available for application for entry with immediate effect (April 2024).
PhD/MPhil Macroeconomics - the programme has been withdrawn and is no longer available for application for entry with immediate effect (April 2024).
PhD/MPhil Microeconomics - the programme has been withdrawn and is no longer available for application for entry with immediate effect (April 2024).
PhD/MPhil Statistics - the programme has been withdrawn and is no longer available for application for entry with immediate effect (April 2024).The PhD/MPhil Criminology is not affected by this decision and continues to be available.

MSc Cognitive Neuroscience - the programme has been suspended and is not available for application for entry in September 2024 (March 2024).
MSc Nursing Pre-Registration (Adult) - the programme has been withdrawn with immediate effect (April 2024). Other existing Postgraduate Taught programmes in Nursing continue to be available.
MSc Nursing Pre-Registration (Child) - the programme has been withdrawn with immediate effect (April 2024). Other existing Postgraduate Taught programmes in Nursing continue to be available.
MSc Nursing Pre-Registration (Mental Health) - the programme has been withdrawn with immediate effect (April 2024). Other existing Postgraduate Taught programmes in Nursing continue to be available.

MA Sports, Ethics and Integrity (Erasmus Funded) - programme has been withdrawn and is no longer available for application for entry with immediate effect (April 2024).
MEng Computing, MEng Computing with a Year in Industry, and MEng Computing with a Year Abroad - these programmes have been withdrawn and are no longer available for application for entry with immediate effect (April 2024).
MRes Biosciences - this programme has 4 new titles and will be implemented for students starting in September 2024 (this change was approved in April 2024). The new titles are:

- MRes Behavioural Ecology and Evolution
- MRes Biodiversity and Ecosystems
- MRes Natural Products and Environmental Resources
MSc Enhancing Human Collaborations and Interactions with Data and Intelligence-Driven Systems - the programme has been withdrawn and is no longer available for application for entry with immediate effect (April 2024).
MSc Environmental Biology: Conservation and Resource Management - the programme is changing its title for students enrolling from September 2024 onwards. (Change applied in April 2024). The new title is:

PGDip Advanced Health and Care Management (Innovation and Transformation) is changing its title to PGDip Advanced Management (Health Innovation and Transformation) for September 2024 entry.
Please note that the above will not affect the existing sister programme MSc/PGDip Advanced Health and Care Management (Value-Based) which will remain unchanged.
MA Classics - suspended and is no longer available for application.
EdD Education - withdrawn and is no longer available for application.
MFin International Financial Management - withdrawn from application with immediate effect. Note that this doesn't affect the MSc version of this programme which continues to be available.
MSc Management (Software Technology) - suspended for entry after January 2023.
LLM Professional Legal Practice - the part-time version of this programme has been suspended. The full time version of this programme continues to be available.
MA Public Policy (Extended) - suspended and is no longer available for application.

MSc Long Term and Chronic Conditions Management - changed its title to MSc Palliative and End of Life Care from September 2023.
MSc Palliative and End of Life Care has been suspended and is no longer available for application with immediate effect.
MSc/PG Dip Nursing Practice - suspended for the year and is no longer available for application for September 2023.
MSc Physician Associate Studies - new Nomenclature with title: MPAS Physician Associate Studies implemented for new students starting in September 2023. This programme has also had a structure change to its content.
