Research in the Discipline of Politics and International Relations
There is a vibrant research environment for the study of politics and international relations in the College of Arts and Humanities.
The 2008 Research Assessment Exercise recognised that we are producing research that is world class. Overall eighty percent of our research falls into the categories of world or international excellence or significance. We rose eleven places in the rankings of Politics departments.
We have a number of key research clusters and particular areas of strength and expertise. These include:
Scholars are also involved in the Centre for the Study of Culture and Politics, and the Callaghan Centre for the Study of Conflict, Power and Empire.
Researchers are involved in organising a range of ongoing research events including international conferences and regular research seminars. Events scholars and postgraduate students are frequently held at Gregynog.
