Studying Physics at Swansea is a unique and stimulating experience

The Physics Department at Swansea offers both three-year B.Sc. and four-year M.Phys. courses.  The Department is highly rated for the quality of its teaching and achieved the highest award of 'Excellent' in the Teaching Quality Assessment (TQA).

The courses are modular which means you study a particular subject area as a module. Typically, a minimum of 20% of the module mark is based upon continuous assessment, with the remaining marks gained from an exam taken at the end of the module. A module normally counts for 10 or 20 credits, and each year you study the equivalent of 120 credits.
