Your contribution and role matters!
As one of the growing number of talented and innovative research staff at Swansea you have the potential to make a positive individual mark, and to influence the University's success. There are over 300 members of research staff here, mainly distributed in the sciences, but with growing numbers in arts, business, and humanities. It is a vibrant research environment where you are particularly encouraged to extend your skills and achieve your ambitions. Although being one of this group brings some unique opportunities and privileges, it also brings some particular challenges most especially in relation to careers. The web information here aims to support you by providing helpful links and information specifically geared to researchers.
Swansea University is fully committed to implementing the 2008 Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers and we have developed an Implementation Action Plan to demonstrate how we intend to achieve this. This plan is reviewed annually and we are proud to announce that we have been successful in retaining the prestigious HR Excellence in Research Award in 2013 in recognition of our commitment to the development and suport of researchers. The 2012 action plan and self assesment report for the HR Excellence in Reseacrh Award can be found below.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR SUPPORTING YOUR SUCCESS, AND CELEBRATING YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS
