General information regarding payroll
Based within the Finance Department, the Payroll Section deals with all payment issues for staff within the University. The workload of the team is currently split via Schools/Departments.
The Payroll & Pensions Office is open for enquires from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. If you need to make an appointment outside of these hours please contact the relevant member of staff.
If you have any specific queries regarding payments, please contact the appropriate member of staff within the Finance Department.
In order to facilitate the timely and accurate payment of salaries, all necessary documentation must reach the Human Resources Department within deadline for inclusion in that month’s relevant payroll run.
We are unable to guarantee that any requests for payment received following these dates will be processed, the default position being they will be actioned for payment the following month.
One of the many benefits of joining the staff of Swansea University is access to membership of an Occupational Pension Scheme. There are two schemes which are available to staff, dependent on your staff group:
- Universities Superannuation Scheme - http://www.usshq.co.uk/
- Swansea University Pension Scheme - Swansea University Pension Scheme (review presentation 2009)
If you are or have been a member of the NHSPS (National Health Service Pension Scheme) you may be able to retain your membership.
If you have any queries regarding pension arrangements, please contact Jane Baker, Pensions Officer within the Finance Department on +44 (0)1792 295353, email: j.k.baker@swansea.ac.uk.
