Marshall Training Guidelines

Marshall hands

The Marshall Online Training Programme

All Swansea University staff must complete the mandatory bilingual 'Diversity in the Workplace' Marshall training. This is so that you become familiar with equality legislation, gain an understanding of the broader issues around equality/diversity and of your responsibilities and rights as members of staff.

The training takes 30 - 40 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at http://swansea.marshallacmtraining.co.uk.  You can stop and bookmark your place, returning to this place at a later stage.

In order to logon to the programme follow the simple steps set out below:

Step1: The web address

Enter the web address: https://swansea.marshallacmtraining.co.uk/login

Step 2: New users

To Logon: enteryour email address (e.g.12345@swansea.ac.uk) and password which is ‘password’ – you will be asked to change this immediately once you have logged on for the first time. When changing your password it is important that you do not use the same password as your University account. Please remember that passwords are individual to you and need to be kept safe and secure.

The programme is available in both Welsh and English. The Welsh programme has been funded by Aberystwyth University, Bangor University, Swansea University, the University of Wales Lampeter and North East Wales Institute of Higher Education. Staff at the Centre for Welsh Language Services have translated and written the Welsh Language Scheme module. Staff are strongly encouraged to undertake this programme in Welsh where possible.

The e-learning training can be done in one sitting or in 'bite-sized' chunks at your convenience. The mandatory quiz contained within the programme must be carried out in order for you to complete your training. These quiz marks are retained and only used to identify further training needs of staff.

If you have any problems with initial registration contact Cath Elms (Equalities Assistant) on c.l.elms@swansea.ac.uk
