Professor Christine James is originally from the Rhondda Valley, and learned Welsh as a second language. She is now Head of the Department of Welsh, Swansea University, where she teaches a wide variety of modules and continues with her research. Not only is Christine an inspiration to students, but to all of the staff in her Department too.
Professor Andrea Tales has a personal chair in dementia research within the Department of Psychology at Swansea University. Andrea also developed the Swansea University Dementia Research Group, where she provides people with many opportunities to further develop their skills, knowledge and experiences.
Richenda Leonard is a Senior Project Officer for the Wales School for Social Care Research in the College of Human and Health Sciences. A graduate of Aberdeen and Durham Universities, Richenda has spent her entire careethus far practically improving the lives of others, particularly refugees and vulnerable women.
