Languages

 

Students Supporting Welsh Medium Education YR8

Schools, both Welsh and English medium, and FE Colleges may ask for placements of our University students who are fluent in Welsh to support Welsh-medium delivery and pupil experience of Welsh medium education in schools.  

Learning Ancient History YR8

Pupils will have the opportunity to experience learning about Ancient History through activities such as games, songs, storytelling and crafts.

Literacy through Ancient Greek YR8

Pupils will have the opportunity to experience learning about Ancient Greek through activities such as games, songs, storytelling and crafts.

Literacy through Latin YR8

Pupils will have the opportunity to experience learning about Latin through activities such as games, songs, storytelling and crafts.

Plato in the Park YR8

For five consecutive Saturdays in June and July, children (ages 5-12) will be able to learn Latin, Greek and Philosophy at Swansea University.

Summer School of Ancient Languages Yr 8

The second Summer School of Ancient Languages will take place in July 2016, learning the basic elements of Latin, ancient Greek, Medieval Latin and Hieroglyphs.

Science

Climate Change Lecture YR8

A lecture on Climate Change, with the opportunity to ask questions, is available annually.  This lecture will give an overview of climate changes that have occurred in the past and the evidence used to support these changes.  

Mass Spectrometry Measuring the Building Blocks of Matter YR5-8

This fully interactive presentation will introduce young students to the scientific concepts associated with the analytical technique of Mass Spectrometry.  It relates the application of science to everyday life.

Swansea Science Summer School (S4) offers days in Bioscience, Computer Science, Geography, Maths and Physics.
