Students Supporting Welsh Medium Education YR7

Welsh and English medium schools and FE Colleges may ask for placements of our University students who are fluent in Welsh to support Welsh-medium delivery.  

Literacy through Latin YR7

Working with the successful Iris Project’s Literacy through Latin scheme to engage with children at an early stage and introduce them to Latin as the root of the English and many other languages.  Look at the online resources too.

Plato in the Park YR7

For five consecutive Saturdays in June and July, children (ages 5-12) will be able to learn Latin, Greek, and philosophy in Singleton Park at Swansea University.

Learning Ancient History YR7

This scheme provides pupils with the opportunity to experience learning about ancient history through activities such as games, songs, storytelling and crafts.

Swansea Summer School of Ancient Languages Yr7

The second Summer School of Ancient Languages will take place at Swansea University in July 2016. ‌

This scheme provies pupils with the opportunity to experience learning ancient Greek through activities such as games, songs, storytelling and crafts.‌

Science

Mass Spectrometry Measuring the Building Blocks of Matter YR5-8

Pupils will learn about the scientific concepts associated with Mass Spectrometry.  The aims include developing a scientific approach to problem solving.

Climate Change Lecture YR7

An annual lecture, with the opportunity to ask questions, giving an overview of climate changes that have occurred in the past and the evidence used to support these changes. 

S4 Taster days in Science YR3-7

Swansea Science Summer School (S4) offers days in general scientific topics, biology, genetics, weather, computer science, geography and physics.
