Top honours at the MediWales Innovation Awards 2016

Two of Swansea University School of Management’s most innovative enterprises have received top honours at the MediWales Innovation Awards 2016.

The award for the NHS’ Collaboration with Industry was presented to The Bevan Commission for its work with all health boards and NHS Trusts across Wales in adopting prudent healthcare putting Wales at the forefront, commitment to enhance and support leadership, innovation and disruptive thinking across the NHS to achieve transformational change in the delivery of services.

The Award for Start Up was presented to PulmonIR Ltd, a School of Management spin-out company from the University.  PulmonIR Ltd’s ground breaking technology aims to speed up the diagnosis and improve monitoring of COPD which will bring benefits to patients.  This will help the NHS work more efficiently.
