Professor Kevin Haines and Dr Stephen Case from the College of Law at Swansea University have co-written a book which aims to serve as a blueprint for practitioners involved with youth justice.

Positive Youth JusticePositive Youth Justice: Children First, Offenders Second sets out a progressive, positive, and principled model of youth justice.  Already in use in Wales, the proposed model promotes child-friendly, diversionary, inclusive, engaging, promotional practice and legitimate partnership between children and adults and aims to make an important contribution to the debate on youth justice policy.

We aim to have an impact on policy, practice and understandings of children's lives in everything we do. Our innovative model of youth justice has had a huge impact on policy and practice in Wales and is gaining traction in England and internationally.’
