A seminar on what Information Communications Technology (ICT) support is available to local businesses is to be held in Swansea.

'Universities talking ICT with business' is a Dragon Innovation Partnership project event run in partnership with ICT Knowledge Transfer Network. The event is aimed at ICT sector businesses, and those wanting access to Universities’ ICT capabilities.

Date: Thursday 23rd May

Time: 5.30 pm – 9pm

Venue:  Liberty Stadium, Swansea

Admission:  The event is free of charge and open to all.

Speakers at the event include Dr. Kapilan Radhakrishnan from Swansea Metropolitan University and Karen Birdsall from IT Wales at Swansea University who will be outlining how businesses can engage with Universities and relevant projects located in Higher Education Institutions.  There will also be a seminar on how businesses can access a number of funding opportunities to support them further. Attendees will also have to opportunity to network at the event.

Businesses who attend could benefit from:

  • Short and long-term ICT training programmes
  • IT students and research placements
  • ICT based industrial collaboration opportunities
