    Theology Public Lecture Series 2012

    "The Meaning in the Miracles" by The Very Reverend Dr Jeffrey John (Dean of St Albans) at 7.00pm on Thursday 9 February.


    The Very Reverend Dr Jeffrey John

    Dr Jeffrey John was born in Tonyrefail in South Wales in 1953. He studied at Hertford College, Oxford University, where he gained a first class honours degree in Classics and Modern Languages in 1975. He subsequently gained a degree in Theology whilst training for the ordained ministry at St Stephen's House Oxford. After serving a curacy in Penarth, he returned to Oxford in 1980 to study for a DPhil in Theology. He became Chaplain of Brasenose College Oxford. In 1984 he was appointed Dean of Divinity at Magdalen College Oxford. In 1997 he became Canon Chancellor and Theologian of Southwark Cathedral. He is now Dean of St Albans.
