    The Learned Society of Wales is a new national body, launched earlier this year, which is dedicated to the recognition and promotion of scholarship of international quality in all the major established disciplines of learning.

    This event is the Learned Society of Wales' inaugural event in the area of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

    The Founding President of the Society, Sir John Cadogan CBE DSc FRSE PLSW FRS will take the chair.

    The event is open to everyone, with a tea from 4:00pm.
