Event summary: The Low Carbon Research Institute www.lcri.org.uk/index.html was set up to unite and promote energy research in Wales in order to help deliver a low carbon future. The Institute aims to support the energy sector, UK and globally, to develop low carbon generation, storage, distribution and end use technologies, and to offer policy advice.
The Low Carbon Research Institute is a consortium of six universities in Wales and covers six main themes of low carbon:
• Photovoltaics
• Hydrogen Energy Systems
• Marine Energy
• Bioenergy
• The Low Carbon Built Environment
• Large Scale Power Generation
There will also be exhibition, academic poster displays and information.
