Guide to FE and HE for Asylum Seekers and Refugees Living in Wales
The South West Wales Reaching Wider Partnership has published A Guide to Further and Higher Education for Asylum Seekers and Refugees Living in Wales (2010-2011).
The Guide is aimed at adult refugees and asylum seekers over the age of 16 years, who are considering Further or Higher Education in Wales.
Lesley Blower, Senior Officer: Diversity from Neath Port Talbot College said: “Good quality information and advice is essential for anyone seeking guidance about their options in education, this is even more crucial for asylum seekers and refugees who face many additional barriers in navigating what for most of us can be a complex system of education and funding.
“Ensuring all sections of our communities have access to appropriate advice and support helps them and their families to play a full and productive role in 21st century Wales. This guide is a welcome and timely source of information.”
