Speaker Profiles:
Sophie Hodgson is a Knowledge and Innovation Manager in NERC's Knowledge Exchange Team. Sophie is responsible for ensuring that the major elements of NERC's Knowledge Exchange funding portfolio are strategically aligned and for setting up and working with the up-and-coming Marine Renewable Energy KE Programme. Prior to joining NERC, Sophie worked in the fields of sedimentary geology and geophysics in both the public and private sectors.
Andrew Richardson has been with the research councils for over twenty years, and has worked in a variety of roles. He is currently in NERC's Knowledge Exchange team, where he looks after NERC's knowledge exchange grant and studentship schemes.
Professor Tariq Butt is one of the world's authorities in biological control of arthropod pests using entomopathogenic fungi. Tariq was the recipient of two NERC follow on fund grants which he will discuss in a case study.
