Welsh students scrum down for 2008 Varsity challenge
Swansea University RFC will take on rivals Cardiff in this year's Welsh Varsity Challenge Rugby Match at 7:30pm on Wednesday, April 23, at the Cardiff Arms Park.

The annual student event raises funds for the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust and last year the Universities raised £7,000 through a combination of ticket sales and individual contributions.
All proceeds go towards providing support to severely injured rugby players and their families living in Wales.
The Welsh Varsity Challenge Games, which originally began as part of the Oxfam Varsity series, are a major event in the students' sporting calendar.
The Welsh Varsity Challenge Rugby Match is the culmination of a day of sports matches, where Swansea and Cardiff Universities compete in more than 20 different sports in Swansea and Cardiff.
The Rugby Match has grown to be the second largest of the British Varsity Games, behind Cambridge vs Oxford, and the match regularly attracts a 5,000-strong crowd of supporters.

Swansea will be looking to keep a firm hold on the Victory Cup this year (the 2007 winning team are pictured on the right), after triumphing last year with an impressive score of 0-18.
"Varsity is the ultimate sporting challenge for students, and Swansea will be looking to repeat last year’s success on the rugby field to take the cup again this year," said the Athletic Union President Simon Griffin.
"However, while there may be rivalries on the field, both teams and their supporters are united in their efforts to raise funds for this very worthwhile sporting charity."
Tickets for the rugby match are available from £8. A Swansea University £20 package includes transport to Cardiff, match entry, admission to the post-match party in Play, and a Varsity T-shirt.
