Workshop and Question and Answer session by Duncan Green of Oxfam/author of From Poverty to Power.
Date: Tuesday 2nd December 2008
Time: 11:30am - 12:30pm
Venue: Room 226A, Wallace Building, Swansea University
'From Poverty to Power' is essential reading for anyone involved in change processes around the world. A new take on development for the 21st century, Oxfam International's new book provides critical insights into the massive human and economic costs of inequality and poverty and proposes realistic solutions.
Duncan Green has been Oxfam GB's Head of Research since November 2004. From Poverty to Power contains the accumulated knowledge of over 20 years spent researching and writing about reducing poverty and combating injustice and, as he says, trying to "do justice to the complexity of the world, while still believing there is a story about how it can be changed for the better."
