There is a growing overlap between the healthcare disciplines in the way they are taught, researched and practiced.

Have we got to the point where we should abandon traditional disciplines such as nursing, medicine, physiotherapy and so on, and start again with something more fitting for 21st Century health care?

Should we stop flirting with ideas of multi-disciplinary or inter-disciplinary working, research and education and completely transform the healthcare disciplines?
