British Association for Applied Linguistics Annual Conference
The 2008 conference of the British Association for Applied Linguistics will take place at Swansea University next month, from September 11-13.
The association's 41st meeting, hosted by the University's Department of Applied Linguistics in the School of Arts, will be on the theme of Taking the Measure of Applied Linguistics.
The conference's plenary speakers are Charles Alderson, professor of linguistics and English language education at Lancaster University; Ben Rampton, professor of applied and socio-linguistics at King's College London; and Alison Wray, research professor at Cardiff University's Centre for Language and Communication.
