‘From Kings’ Valley to Kings College: the Makings of a Modern Mummy’

If you want to hear all about the mummification of a human body donor then this is the lecture for you!

Egypt Centre logo The Friends of the Egypt Centre will be hosting a lecture by Dr Stephen Buckley (Research Fellow. Department of Archaeology. University of York) and Professor Joann Fletcher (Honorary Visiting Professor, University of York) titled ‘From Kings’ Valley to Kings College: the Makings of a Modern Mummy’

Dr Stephen Buckley and Professor Joann Fletcher will be discussing ancient Egyptian embalming, their mummification of a human body donor and the results of this project to date.

The event takes place on Wednesday 7 June  at 7.00pm at Faraday A, Swansea University, Singleton Park, Swansea SA2 8PP and is free for Friends of the Egypt Centre members and £3.00 non-members (payable on the door).
