The Kampala Compromise on the Crime of Aggression

In collaboration with the Welsh Centre for International Affairs, the School of Law hosted a panel discussion on The Kampala Compromise on the Crime of Aggression on 22nd June 2011.

Professor Kress, Professor of Criminal Law and Public International Law and Director of the Institute for Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at Cologne University and a lead negotiator at Kampala presented on the international side of the new legal crime and Mr Robbie Manson on its domestic side. The international and the domestic aspects were seen to complement each other in the interest of effective prevention and repression of aggression. The School of Law was represented by Dr Helen Quane and Professor Volker Roeben. Professor Kress also gave a lecture at Swansea University.
