ATTACHMENT CHILDREN’S RIGHTS AND NEEDS
12th June 2013, at Swansea University
A Conference organised by: The Wales Observatory on Human Rights of Children and Young People, in partnership with The Attachment Network Wales.
A copy of the papers from the Conference can be found on the here
This conference explored the interrelationship between attachment and children’s, and young people’s rights and needs, and how these are reflected in the approaches of policy makers and practitioners.
Participants were able to choose from a range of practical and discursive workshops on a wide range of issues affecting children and young people. Workshops will be coordinated by experts with experience of attachment and children’s rights. Participants will be encouraged to focus on how these two important agendas impact on children and young people in different areas, and to consider how practitioners and policy makers might benefit from a better understanding of the interrelationship between attachment and rights.
