Joel Trachtman, Distinguished Research Professor of International Economic Law in the College of Law, has scored another success with his book The Future of International Law: Global Government (CUP, 2013), part of the American Society of International Law's series of Studies in International Legal Theory.
The work fought off stiff competition to win the coveted ILAW Book Award from the prestigious International Studies Association, a US-based organisation which for over fifty years has worked tirelessly to bring together scholars and practitioners in the field of international relations. Its impeccably lucid and original approach to the old problems of international law is one more example of the ground-breaking work emanating from members of the School.
