HFW Awards Swansea LLM Students

LLM degrees from Swansea are well-known worldwide, and highly regarded in the shipping and commercial sectors. For that reason, HFW, a leading international law firm, introduced three prizes, four years ago, which are awarded to our LLM students.

This year, Ruben Dewilde (Oil and Gas Law), Karina Wiehoff (Carriage of Goods by Sea, Land and Air), and Themis Margaritis (Admiralty Law) collected their Prizes from Richard Neylon, a partner of HFW, at the Head Office of HFW in London. The successful students were accompanied by Professor Williams and Dr Kurtz-Shefford, at the Ceremony.

Speaking after the event Dr Kurtz-Shefford, the Deputy Director of Shipping & Trade, said:

“We are grateful to our HFW partners for providing our talented students with a meaningful way to reward their hard work and passion for their subjects. HFW is a significant partner for us and their introduction of these prizes for our students is a great endorsement to our programme. We had a great cohort this year, and competition was close, but our winners clearly deserved their awards. Well done to them!"
