"Corporate Accountability and Access to remedies for Corporate Wrongs".

On 8 November Professor Baughen, with Professor Charlotte Villiers of Bristol, is co-organising a conference at Bristol Law School on a highly topical subject: namely, "Corporate Accountability and Access to remedies for Corporate Wrongs". Professor Baughen, a member of the College of Law and of the IISTL, is delivering a paper entitled “Life after Kiobel: the future for human rights litigation against MNCs in the US.” The high-powered panel of speakers at this one-day event also includes Richard Meeran, partner in the top-flight human rights firm Leigh Day; Tricia Feeney, Executive Director of the public interest organisation Rights and Accountability in Development (RAID); and Professor Andrew Griffiths, Professor of Law at the University of Newcastle Law School.
