National Student Survey 2010 Results Confirm Teaching Excellence at Swansea

Swansea Law School is delighted with the results of the latest National Student Survey. The results show that the School continues to maintain high levels of student satisfaction across the various NSS categories such as quality of teaching, assessment and feedback, organisation and support, and personal development. In terms of overall student satisfaction, Swansea Law School is ranked within the top third in the United Kingdom with a score of 90% in the Survey.  In the important areas of "feedback and assessment" and "organisation and support," levels of student satisfaction in the Law School exceed sector wide scores. The Survey, commissioned by the Higher Education Funding Council for England, provides students at UK universities with an opportunity to express their views on their higher education experience.  Conducted annually, the National Student Survey allows students to comment frankly and anonymously on a range of issues.

Commenting on the NSS results of the School, Dr Helen Quane, the director of our Undergraduate Programmes, said: “In view of the rigorous nature of the Survey, the Law School is understandably pleased with the Survey results. The results show that the overwhelming majority of our students are very happy with their learning experience at Swansea. The upward trajectory of its results reflects Swansea Law School's commitment to not only maintaining but also continually enhancing the quality of the student experience on all our programmes.”
