Description of the service

Swansea University’s Service includes Desk Telephone, DECT telephone and mobile phone provision for staff

For staff it includes (but is not limited to):

  • Desk Phone provision and programming
  • Voicemail provision
  • Mobile phone ordering and contract advice and activation and administration
  • Rightfax fax service
  • Webtel extension number updates and database programming to facilitate functionality
  • Provision of BTS operator console and MyUniHub facility
  • Use of service desk web portal to resolve requests and incidents


Externally

  • Administration and implementation of external ISDN and SIP trunk lines
  • Liaison and negotiation with suppliers and maintainers
  • Administration and provision of 0800 Clearing service

This service is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

The support is offered by the Customer Service Team, whose hours vary across the academic year – these can be found here.

More complex queries that the Customer Service Team are unable to resolve will be dealt with between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
