Student cards can be used as a photocopy / print card.
Before using your card for photocopying or printing, you need to create a PIN number and put some credit on your student account (either coins or notes).
To create a PIN number, place your card on the card area on top of one of the printer / copier machines. Login on the touchscreen using your student number and normal password, and then enter your preferred PIN number.
You can then take your card to one of the print credit top up machines available on Level 2 West or in the open access PC room on Level 4 and in branch libraries to add some credit. If the print credit machines are unavailable please see a member of the Customer Service Team at the Information Desk so they can credit your account for you.
Staff can charge copying back to their department with a staff print card. To obtain one, either complete the form available at the information desk, which will then need to be authorised with a financial code by your department. Or you can request a form by emailing the Customer Service Team who can then send you the form electronically.
Copycards to operate Library photocopiers / printers can be obtained from the library information desk in all branches. A refundable Copycard costs £3.00 and must be charged with credit before use. Credit is placed on the card by placing it on the card area on the top right hand side of the revaluer and inserting coins (5p, 10p, 20p, 50p £1 and £2) or notes.
