Description of the service

Blackboard (branded as MyStudies) is the University’s virtual learning environment that can be used from anywhere, at any time of the day or night.

Blackboard is widely used as a way to get resources for your subject or module, to students. In addition there are also many other tools for:

  • Content delivery
  • Communication
  • Assessment
  • Interactive learning tools

Blackboard can be accessed via MyUni or directly here

Logging on – students :

  • Your user name is your student ID number
  • Use your normal University password

Logging on – staff :

  • Your user name is the first part of your Swansea University e-email address, before the @ symbol
  • Use your normal University password

How to get help

The University’s knowledgebase is here, and is a good starting point to help resolve any queries you may have.

Hours of operation / support

This service is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

The support is offered by the Customer Service Team, whose hours vary across the academic year – these can be found here.

More complex queries that the Customer Service Team are unable to resolve will be dealt with between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
