Italian also has much to offer outside the formal academic sphere. There is an Italian Society run by students, which organises activities of both social and cultural interest. There is satellite TV from Italy, whilst the library houses a stock of well-known Italian films available for students to watch on video. There are also exchange links with Italian universities which bring to Swansea students from Italy whom you have the opportunity to meet, get to know and practise your Italian with. Above all there is a friendly atmosphere, small-group tuition and a policy of encouraging close and mutually rewarding relations between staff and students.
