Library Subject Teams

Each College and discipline has its own personal Library Team to support their student, staff and researchers' information needs.  The University has an Information Literacy Strategy, embedding librarian-led teaching of researching for assignments across the curriculum at all levels.

Each subject team maintains its own set of pages. Here you will find help and advice on using the library to find information for your assignments, essays and projects. Among the topics covered are:

  • using e-books and e-journals for quick access to full-text information
  • searching bibliographic databases for a comprehensive literature survey
  • finding reliable information on the web
  • advice on how to reference your sources and avoid plagiarism

Most importantly you will find contact details for your subject team, when you need one-to-one support for your information needs. Choose your School from the menu on the left and start making the most of the library.
