Discover the ancient and modern 'down-under'
UNSW Summer School
The University of New South Wales offers offfers an exciting choice of five week programmes during June and July. Participants can choose to follow one of 6 different courses:
- Australian Environment, Wildlife and Conservation
- International Business: Australia and South East Asia
- Energy Tomorrow: An Engineering and Management Perspective
- Sport, Law and Society in Australia *NEW for 2013*
- Australian Studies: History, Politics and Aboriginal Culture
- Tourism and Event Management: Sustaining the Attraction of Australia
The first 10 days of each programme start in Darwin. The programmes then move to the UNSW campus in Sydney, with all courses concluding in Cairns.

Approx Cost: A$6550*
This programme price includes tuition; all accommodation; excursion costs; airport shuttle services; orientation programme; internet device; a UNSW student card (allowing access to all UNSW facilities); breakfasts and lunches in Sydney, breakfasts in Cairns; breakfasts in the specific three-day course locations that each group will travel to, including Canberra; Melbourne and the Blue Mountains, and all meals when camping in Kakadu National Park. Meals will also be provided for ‘Wildlife’ students visiting the Daintree. The programme fee does not include other meals or airfares.
While in Sydney, you will be housed in UNSW’s brand-new student accommodation – the University Terraces. Opening in early 2013, this modern and secure accommodation offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments along with the convenience of being in the heart of the UNSW campus, in close proximity to classrooms, facilities and transport.

IDO Bursaries**: A maximum of £500 per student is available, however you will not be able to apply for more than half the total cost of your chosen summer programme. Additional financial assistance of up to £200 will be available to students who qualify for widening participation bursaries.

Eligibility: Open to level 1 & 2 and PG students in good standing. Unfortunately level 3 students are not eligible to apply.
