Chongqing Medical University Summer and Cultural Tour

Overview

This programme is run by the College of Human and Health Sciences - students are selected to participate by the College.

There is no Programme cost attached to the Programme. Students will need to have funds for flights (approx. £600), visa (approx. £200) and personal expenses, including some meals.  

The College is offering 5 funded places, which will cover the full cost of this programme (not inclusive of flights, visa or personal spending).

The dates of this programme for 2017 are 9th to 22nd July.

How to apply

You will need to submit an online application 

An Academic reference will be requested by the Internationalisation Officer from your personal tutor regarding your attendance, grades and suitability to be an ambassador for the College of Human and Health Sciences.

In order to receive funding from the International Development Office, you will be required to complete a selection of forms. These will be provided to you initially by the College, once you have been selected to participate.

Funding

The International Development Office is able to offer a bursary towards the costs of Short and Summer Programmes.

Global Opportunities Bursary - up to £300
You can apply for a Global Opportunities Bursary for up to 50% of the programme costs. The bursary available for this programme is up to £300.

Widening Participation - £250
You are eligible for this bursary if you have declared an annual household income of less than £25,000 when you applied for student finance (and both you and your parents agreed to share this information). Please note this is not based on student income but the income of your parent/guardian. Widening participation bursaries are only applicable to undergraduate students. Postgraduate students are not eligible for the IDO Widening participation bursary.
