Washington State University Overview

With its main campus in Pullman and urban campuses in Spokane, the Tri-Cities and Vancouver, WSU enrols 21000 undergraduate and graduate students.
The university offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in 200 fields of study through 65 departments, schools and programs. Considered one of the leading public research universities in America, WSU has 12 colleges and a graduate school. WSU offers strong and varied academic programs.

The liberal arts and sciences have an important place in the curriculum, along with business, communication, education, architecture, pharmacy, nursing, and the traditional land-grant disciplines of agriculture, engineering, and veterinary medicine.

Swansea University currently has a University-wide agreement in place with Washington State University.

Incoming students are highly encouraged to apply for housing prior to arrival at Washington State University.
All single undergraduate freshmen under 20 years of age are required - by Washington state law - to live in officially recognized, organized living groups - e.g. residence halls, fraternities and sororities - for one academic year.

WSU Housing & Residence Life provides various types of Residence Halls on campus to meet students’ needs.

Global Opportunities Bursary - £1000

This bursary is available for students spending a semester or a year studying abroad outside of Europe as part of their degree (except Texas).

The International Development Office provides students with a £1000 bursary, once students have submitted all the necessary paperwork.

Alternative funding through the Erasmus+ scheme will also be available for some opportunities in Texas, New Zealand and China for 2015/16 and 2016/17. Students will be contacted direct and the deadline for this is 31st March 2016.
